Signing up for health or dental coverage isn’t always easy to understand. Access Health CT (AHCT) is here to help. We can meet you in person to answer your questions and help you enroll. The best part? All help is free.
Here are a few of the ways we are here to help, in person:
Enrollment Fairs: These events are held, most often, during Open Enrollment. They happen across the state, usually in the evenings or on the weekends. Our experts will answer your questions and help you with your application. You may also be able to meet your insurance company and get help finding a doctor. Check out our upcoming events and register to attend.
Navigators: Community organizations that partner with AHCT are called Navigators. They’re available to help year-round. You can get help to enroll in health or dental coverage. They may also be able to provide you with resources to better your health and well-being. Some may ask you to make an appointment, so it’s a good idea to call before you visit.
Healthy Chats: You can learn more about health and dental coverage from the comfort of your home. AHCT offers monthly online meetings over Zoom. As part of a Healthy Chat, our team will go over what you need to know about health and dental coverage this year. They’ll also talk about financial help. You can bring your questions to ask at the end of a meeting. Registration is required to get your Zoom link.
Mobile Enrollment Specialists: Our team of experts will come to you! You can schedule an appointment to meet with a Mobile Enrollment Specialist. These personalized meetings happen at convenient locations like a library or community center. They’ll answer your questions and help you enroll.
Certified Brokers: Wish someone would recommend what coverage to pick? Consider working with a Certified Broker. You can talk about your specific situation with these advisors. They’ll help you pick the health or dental coverage that is best for you and your family. There are hundreds of Certified Brokers across Connecticut. Many even speak multiple languages. You can use the tool on our website to find one near you. Their help is also free.
What to know before your visit
There is certain information you need to complete your application. So, before you meet with an enrollment expert, review our Enrollment Checklist. You’ll want to have all the information with you. You’ll also want to know your estimated household income — it’s one of the questions on your application.
